Atopic dermatitis more commonly known as eczema or atopic eczema is a chronic skin condition in which the skin becomes inflamed, itchy, dry and may begin to crack. Face Eczema - Simple Homemade Treatment That Works

Before you begin reading this article I want you to know that I understand what you are going through. At this point you have probably scoured the earth looking for something that will help you with your face eczema. The answers you have been seeking are right in your kitchen and I am going to show you four methods that has worked for hundreds of individuals. If you apply them properly they will work for you as well.

Your treatment will begin right in your home, to be more specific right in your kitchen. Understand that your face eczema condition just needs a little special attention, and your about to learn how to do that in a few moments with four tried and tested methods.

Method #1 - This technique has been used throughout the ages and has been extremely affective. In order to get started you will need a large bowl and some oatmeal. You only want to use the original brand of oatmeal and not any of the flavor brands. Mix the oatmeal and let it cool so that it gets sort of a thick pasty texture. Once the oatmeal has reached the desired texture apply it to your face like a mask. You will want to leave the oatmeal on your face until it begins to harden. By using oatmeal you will reduce the inflammation of your skin and it will drastically reduce the itchiness and redness of your face eczema.

Method #2 - Start by cleaning your face with luke warm water, DO NOT use any type of soap - just water. Next you will want to gently rub virgin coconut oil on your face. This is the tough part so hang in there. You will want to lay back and relax for approximately 10 minutes, and let the coconut oil go to work. Personally I like to load up the iPod with some soothing music and focus on the coconut oil penetrating my skin and doing it’s job. Most of the time I fall asleep… After you have relaxed remove the coconut oil from your face with luke warm water, then apply some facial area with a good moisturizer.

Method #3 - Here’s a quick method that works pretty good. It doesn’t show results as fast, however it is effective. You will need some Indian spice powder known as turmeric. If you don’t already have this in your cupboard you can find it in just about any health food store. Add the turmeric to your tea (no sugar added) or your food. If you have never used the spice turmeric before I recommend that you try a little at first to see how your body reacts to it. Another great use for turmeric is to add a teaspoon of it to a half cup of olive oil and add it to your bath or use it to clean your face. Killing Common Indoor Bugs

The common indoor bugs we see all over the world are flies, spiders, fleas and beetles. No-one likes to see insects indoors, so most people go to just about any lengths to get rid of these common indoor bugs. Less common indoor bugs may be woodlice, earwigs, scorpions and millipedes or centipedes, although they are no less unwelcome.

It does not matter where you live in the world, it can be very difficult to keep these common indoor bugs outside, unless you go to the extremes of keeping all your windows and doors shut at all times, which is obviously impossible. I now stay in Thailand and I know for certain that this is not possible.

So, what on Earth can you do? Well, let’s deal with all the flying bugs first, because of all the common indoor bugs, I find them the most obnoxious indoor bug. They are very annoying, buzzing around your head and mosquitoes and other flies can produce painful sores and besides that, all flies spread disease. I cannot bear to see them walking on food, knowing that they have probably just come off some dung heap somewhere and now they are spitting on my food to taste it with their dirty feet!

My first line of defence is fine-mesh door and widow screens. They are not dear and can be fitted retrospectively to any window. My window meshes slide, so they will cover only one half of the window at a time, but I do not find that a problem. You can still set up cross-winds, by opening two or more windows at opposing sides of a room. I just love to see the flies on the mesh trying to get in by day and the mosquitoes doing the same by night. At night, it is wise to burn as little light indoors as possible so as not to draw these common indoor insects.

My second line of defence is natural predators - lizards, like Geckos (Jin Jok, in Thai). Some people don’t like them in the house either and I can’t say that I’m all that keen on them indoors myself, but they are hard to keep out and they do consume hundreds, if not thousands, of indoor bugs every day. I particularly like to see them lying in wait on the outside of the mesh, ready to pounce on any bug trying to wriggle its way through the wires.

My third line of defence is an indoor bug zapper. You know, the electric, handheld bug zapper that looks like a child’s tennis racquet. The come in two forms: battery and rechargeable kinds. They are brilliant at catching and destroying any flying indoor bug. The inset literally explodes and vaporizes on contact with the fully-charged wires of the indoor bug zapper. If you haven’t tried using one, you really ought to. They are most gratifying. These three defences keep our house pretty much free of flying insects.

The creeping common indoor bugs are less of a problem really. Door screens on springs will keep 95% of them out and the Geckos will help too. Spiders can get in pretty easily, but then, I don’t mind them too much as long as they keep out of my way, as they consume other insects too. They are on our side to be honest. However, for those who can not bear to trap them and throw them outside, the handheld indoor bug zapper works a treat on spiders too.

Fleas can be a problem, if you keep cats or dogs, but then if you wash or dust the animal once a month, you should be able to keep those common indoor bugs under control fairly easily. However, there are two final measures that we employ. Every week, before we go out for the day, we spray every room with fly killer and every six-months we spray any rugs or carpets with an insect killer containing permethrin, which will survive washing and vacuuming for that long without losing its ability to kill common indoor bugs on contact. If you follow these measures, you should be able to keep your home or office quite free of the most common indoor bugs and any less common indoor bug too.
